Confederate (Television Series)

In 2017 "Game of Thrones" creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss were at the top of the television world. Their global television hit was getting ready for its last season and everyone wanted to know what the duo planned as a follow up. Unfortunately that follow-up was a proposed television series about a modern Confederate States of America and the institution of slavery in today's world.

"Confederate" was a bad idea that was met with an immediate backlash and a quick private death. How could this happen in today's tv world and why would HBO allow this out to the public.
