In 2006 Sofia Coppola, fresh off an Oscar nomination the year before, decided to tell the story of French Queen Marie Antoinette. She assembled an eclectic, and all-star, cast led by Kirsten Dunst and was able to shoot at the Palace of Versailles. The movie was quickly forgotten.
